• Yes, when plugged into 240v, it will charge the house battery. This applies to the Apollo Adventure Camper, Britz Maverick and Cheapa 4WD Camper.
• All 4WD fleet has a system that will charge the house battery when the vehicle engine is running. Please note, the 4WD fleet have a single house battery, not dual.
• There are 2 x 240v 10Amp plugs in the Apollo 4WD Adventure Camper / Britz 4WD Maverick. 1 dual plug located inside the house, and 1 dual plug located inside the kitchen.
• There is a cigarette lighter and twin USB port located inside the house.
• There is 1 cigarette lighter in the cab and 1 USB port inside the cab. All 4WD (5) Toyota Hilux models have the same cab configuration.
• All USB ports are USB, not USB-C.
• The solar panel on the 4WDs is a 200w panel.

All vehicles include bedding, linen, general living and kitchen equipment, cooking utensils and cutlery. All vehicles feature power steering, driver and passenger airbags and ABS brakes. The above floorplans and specifications are indicative of the vehicle that will be supplied. Actual vehicles may vary according to year of manufacture and availability, but your vehicle will be suitable for the required number of people and have similar specifications to those listed. Specifications may change without notice and cannot be requested. Rear cabin air conditioning, heating and microwave must be connected to 240V mains power to function. Solar power panels provide a trickle charge to the 12V house battery power supply only; much like the engine battery does when driving. The solar panels will not charge over and above the current draw on the battery, nor will they fully charge it. *Maximum weight for top bed in the Endeavour and Euro Quest is 200kgs. **Cannot be requested.

Our Broome, Darwin and Alice Springs branches are closed during the wet season (20 December to 31 March). During this time roads are muddy and hard to navigate and for safety reasons, we strongly recommend that guests avoid travelling to the top end of Australia during this time.

Our 4WD RVs are ready to take adventurous travellers off the beaten track, however for their safety, there are restricted travel areas. For restricted destinations listed below, guests are required to nominate expected travel plans with the branch at pick-up and confirm with relevant local authorities that roads are passable prior to travel.

Not all RVs are suitable for all driving situations, so it’s important the right RV is chosen for the travel planned. THL, at its discretion, may restrict RV travel in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period.

Restricted roads – are remote roads listed in the suppliers summary of terms PDF’s.

Agent's notes: Written permission for Restricted Roads means are the road OPEN, SAFE and PASSABLE with no pending adverse road or weather warnings. On the day of pickup at the nominated Apollo depot for pickup verify with the staff if the roads are open as the Branch gets the Roads NT and WA report daily it’s available also online at state Government website. There is a form that Apollo will ask you to sign saying which roads you will be going on if any are on the restricted roads list. Please remember to purchase the Value Pack Option and 4wd Max Cover Option (see Combined Liability Information PDF) at booking or at pickup for further explanation if you require it on 08 7999 7511.

Cancellation Terms
What if I can what does the supplier charge?
Cancellation Terms\nWe understand that sometimes road trips may need to be cancelled. In case of cancellation, the following fees apply:
If cancelled 61+ days prior to pick-up - No fee except deposit
If cancelled 60 to 22 days prior to pick-up - 10% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00)
If cancelled 21 to 7 days prior to pick-up - 20% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00)
If cancelled less 6 days or less prior to pick-up - 50% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00)
If cancelled on the day of pick-up or no show - 100% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00)
There is no refund for late pick-up or early return of an RV
The original pick-up date or the earliest confirmed pick-up date is used to calculate the cancellation fee.
